Cased Based Learning Collaborative on Stimulants- CME Course

The Center for Behavioral and Addiction Medicine (CBAM) at the UCLA Department of Family Medicine is excited to introduce a forthcoming virtual series, Case-Based Learning Collaborative on Stimulants. The series will take place biweekly on the first and third Fridays of each month from 12:00pm – 1:00pm PT, beginning Friday, October 20, 2023.

We extend a warm invitation to physicians, nurses, physician associates, psychologists, social workers, recovery specialists, community health workers, students and anyone interested in improving the care of persons with stimulant use disorders. The course is entirely free to attend.

The following are the scheduled topics for 2023:

  • Friday, October 20, 2023 – Medications with Evidence for Stimulant Use Disorder presented by Dr. Steve Shoptaw, UCLA.

  • Friday, November 3, 2023 – MSM and Other Sexual Minority Identities, Infectious diseases, and Stimulants presented by Dr. Jesse Clark, UCLA

  • Friday, November 17, 2023 – Infrastructure for Treating Stimulant Use in Primary Care Settings presented by Dr. Brian Hurley, LA County Department of Public Health
